Cold weather always makes me fret. This time of the year brings back one of my worst skin problems: dry skin. The dry air and heater make my skin patchy and rough. It takes some very intensive products to give back and lock in that moisture. That’s why I compiled a list of the best products for dry skin based on my skincare routine. These deep moisturising products will keep your skin soft this winter season without breaking the bank. Read on to find out which products I like to use most.
I have a nighttime skin routine that targets exactly these problems. The first product I use after taking off my make up is the Retinol 0.5% in Squalane by The Ordinary. It is an exfoliating acid that helps again signs of anti ageing and rough skin. I am absolutely obsessed with this.
Then it’s time to moisturize. In the winter I like to add some intense products to my routine. I like to either use a small amount of the Clinique Moisture Surge Cream or Hyaluronic Acid 2% by the Ordinary depending on how dry my skin feels.
When I feel like a regular moisturizer won’t do, I go for raw virgin coconut oil instead. It melts in between my fingers, smells good and smoothes down any rough bumps on my skin. Lastly, I just add a small amount of Moroccan oil to my hair.
