Lately, I’ve been caught up in the hecticness of everyday life. It’s been a while since I have taken a moment to write or take care of myself both mentally and physically.
After a foot injury this summer I had difficulties working out or being active at all and completely let go of my healthy routines such as workouts. This combined with all of the temptations of food while travelling has led me to just kind of give up on any attempts to be healthy. I was indulging too much with no balance until a point where I did not feel comfortable with what I was putting into my body anymore. I felt sick constantly and had flu like symptoms for a really long time making me rethink how I had been approaching my health in the last months.
This month I joined a new boxing class here in London and realised how little strength I have left. So, it’s time to kick myself in the butt and make my health a priority again, doing workouts I actually enjoy, taking time to write and read more and of course eating in a way that makes me feel good.
Also, the term is almost over again. How is this even possible? I’m excited to go home though, it always has a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to spend the holidays with my family.
