Life is hectic. It is stressful and messy especially in a city like London. There is always something going on, somewhere we need to be and something that needs to be done. We tend to focus on our personal micro-universe even though we are constantly surrounded by thousands of people rushing around. All of them have their own sets of lives, problems and hectic schedules.
That ‘s why I often feel the need to take a step back and slow down life even if it is only for a few seconds. Usually, this means writing, getting lost in a good book or even just taking the time to stroll through the city without a certain aim in mind. Travelling also has to be on this list. I love exploring new countries and new cultures and most of all I love how it enables me to see things from new perspectives.
The two weeks I spent in Bali this spring definitely helped me clear my head and take a break from worries and stress. Before I arrived in Bali I had been hiking and travelling through Jawa with a group of friends so simply relaxing by the beach and soaking up the sun seemed like a good end to my Indonesia trip. Moments like those make me feel truly serene and at peace with the world and myself. Honestly, this vacation was much needed and I enjoyed every minute of it.
