I am officially getting into the festive spirit and this year I am doing all the cliché activities: From attempting to build a gingerbread house and going ice skating with friends and family to decorating our Christmas tree. I already have my fairy lights scattered all over the place and I am absolutely loving it. So, why not keep it just as classic with my holiday makeup this season?
To do so, I decided to go for a classic red lip and cat-eye combination that is elegant, super simple and oh so festive. Read on to find out how to create this look.
Before I apply any skin makeup I like to prep my skin by using the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser and a sunscreen for protection. Next, I apply my Bobbi Brown foundation stick directly to the areas that need a bit of coverage and blend it in using a beauty blender.
I did my eye makeup next by creating the winged eyeliner. I just very thinly traced my upper lashline and created the wing by following the angle of my lower lashline. I then thickened the outer part of the line to match the wing. To define my lashes I added two coats of the Diorshow mascara and filled in my brows with some eyebrow shadow.
Finally, I lined and filled out the shape of my lips with red lip liner to create a long lasting base for the statement lip. For this look, I chose the YSL Rouge Pur Couture which has an amazing creamy texture that adds moisture to the lip.
I hope you get inspired and have some lovely holidays.
