DIY: Mixed And Matched Jewelry Stand

I’ve been on the lookout for a good jewelry stand to display some of my pieces for a while now. My necklaces and  earrings seemed to tangle up inside my old jewelry box all the time, but since I couldn’t find any jewelry display I particularly liked, I decided to make my own mixed and matched jewelry stand. To do so, I went to a local second hand shop and found these creme colored plates with gold details and the candleholder for the middle. In total it cost me less than 3€ and took 5 minutes to make.  It’s literally only two steps to follow. The result is absolutely worth it!

Read on to find out how to make it!

What you’ll need:

  • 2 plates in different sizes
  • 1 candleholder
  • Indutrial strength glue (I used E6000)

Once you have decided on which plates and what candleholder you want to use, you can start applying an even amount of glue to the bottom of the candleholder. Let it sit for two minutes and then place it right in the middle of your larger plate. Press down gently.

Repeating the same process, apply the glue evenly on the upper rim of the candleholder as well as on the edge of the smaller plate. Let it wait and press them together tightly. To clean any uneven edges use a cotton swab to lightly take off any excess. Let the glue dry for 24 hours and you’re done. Two steps, as I promised.

Here is my result:

I hope you enjoyed this post and get inspired!
