The Smart Guide To Healthy Eating: 5 Fast Breakfast Ideas

As always I am trying to combine my love for food with my love for a healthy lifestyle. That is exactly how I came up with these breakfast options. Whether you crave something sweet in the morning or are a lover of the savory options I’ve got you covered. Read on to find 5 easy and most importantly fast breakfast options that won’t break the bank while nourishing and energizing you for the day you have ahead of you.

1. Avocado And Egg Toast


Combining avocado and eggs has been one of the best decisions of my life (Just exaggerating slightly). But honestly, combining these two just takes breakfast to a whole ‘nother level. Plus, an avocado and egg toast is super healthy, especially if you chose whole grain toast. This breakfast option combines esential and very healthy fatty acids from the avocado with one of the best sources for protein from the egg. The whole grain toast will additionally keep you satisfied and happy for a longer time. What is not to love about this combo?

2. Instant Overnight Oats

Another one of my favourite breakfast choices is to eat overnight oats. However, I often forget to prepare the day before and have no time to let the oats soak in the milk, or so you would think… For me it literally takes 5 minutes to get them ready:

To shorten the preparing time I just put my oats or oat bran (which is great for a more creamy texture) into milk until they are nicely covered and heat it up for a couple of minutes in the microwave. In the meantime I prepare my toppings which usually include either berries or any other fruit plus nuts. When the oats are all soaked take them out and let them sit for about two minutes. Stir once and you’re done: Instant Overnight Oats! Just add your toppings and you’re good to go.

3. Egg Pizza


For those times when a regular breakfast just won’t cut it and all you really crave is pizza, I’ve got a healthy andjust as delicious option for you. Stir two or three eggs together and cook until slightly set, now add any topping on top. I like to combine a tiny bit of garlic with basilico and cherry tomatoes. Let it cook for approximately a minute and add a bit of cheese. It really is up to you what ingredients you chose (just like actual pizza, rght?) and how much and what kind of cheese you want. Cook the egg pizza until the cheese is melted and that’s it already. I promise, that this will satify any pizza craving you have.

4. Veggie Wrap


A breakfast idea that offers a great variety of options is the wrap. It is ideal because you can make it with any ingredients basically and even pack and eat as lunch on the go. Here again, try to opt for whole grain options since they will fill you up much more than other options. The veggie wrap I usually eat includes a lot of iceberg leaves, some tomato slices, a bit of  avocado and cheese. Then, I simply go ahead and toast it, until the cheese is melted. To spice it up I ometimes include a scrambled egg in the wrap or add nuts or pomegranate eeds. Whatever you want, really. Another great, not so vegeterian, option is to include chicken into the wrap which will keep you satisfied even longer.

5. Berry or Banana Toast


The last breakfast idea I am including is for all you sweet tooths. For those days you just need something sweet go ahead and layer your whole grain toast with fruits. I like to first add a layer of low fat fromage frais. Then, I either addd sliced bananas or berries like strawberries. Bananas are a great option here because they can give you energy almost intantly making you feel better in the morning. And who doesn’t need a little pick me up sometimes?
