It has already been a few day since spring started in Germany but it sure doesn’t feel that way. The weather is going crazy and we even had snow here a couple of days ago. However, this doesn’t mean you have to give up on spring clothing and what better way to get you in a spring set of mind than looking at this season’s trends? I will guide you through my favourite four trends of the season and give you tips on how to incorporate them into your outfits.
Generally, there are a lot less pastel colours and florals than there are usually in spring. But like Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada said: “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” So maybe it’s not a bad change at all.

Lots of designers have included gingham into their spring 2015 collections making it a staple for this season. If you don’t know gingham print yet, it is a checked pattern that can be almost any colour. There is a great variety in colours and sizes of the print to chose from. Because of its versatility, this print has been in style last year already and is back for yet another season.
It is pretty easy to incorporate gingham into an outfit. You can either go head to toe gingham for a sophisticated and elegant look like Nicole Warne in the picture above or chose a single gingham piece. Lately, I have been loving gingham shorts or cute cropped tops that can be styled in a variety of ways depending on the weather and your current mood.
2. Black and White

Probably the most wearable out of this season’s trends is the black and white trend. It is possible and even more than likely that you already have black or white pieces in your wardrobe. Just throw them together for a minimalistic and intrend look. With this trend, anything goes as long a the colour scheme is right. I, myself, have invested in some black and white striped key pieces that I will be sporting this season.

The boldest look this season are culottes, wide legged cropped pants. They are also a bit bolder than the other looks and therefore trickier to pull off. My favourite two way to style them would be in either a boho chic ensemble or a fierce and elegant look when going out. To balance out the bold pants keep the rest of your outfit simple and effortless. A great combo is to pair a crop top with the culottes as pictured above in Negin Mirsalehi’s outfit.
4. Head To Toe White

My favourite trend this spring is the all white everything trend as I like to call it. I think that being dressed head to toe in white makes any look polished and posh. A more girly version of this look can include lace like pictured above. Instead of reserving white for the summer season only, the time to wear it has come now.
Have a nice spring and get inspired!
